"The Pathways to Proficient Reading course that our staff participated in has been instrumental as they continue to grow their knowledge base around the science of reading and best practices in literacy instruction. The course reaffirmed the importance of strong literacy practices and helped solidify the 'why' behind our new curriculum adoption. The information, practices, strategies, and ideas they learned have transferred into classrooms and are having a direct impact on student learning."

At the end of this professional development opportunity, you will be able to draw from your specialized knowledge of the processes and skills that comprise writing (including planning and organizing ideas, translating ideas, using transcription skills, and reviewing, revising, and editing) to increase your students’ writing proficiency.
